韓國昨（8）日出現第6起MERS死亡病例，教育部長吳思華透露，6月底前將評估是否派選手參加光州世大運。衛福部長蔣丙煌認為，MERS傳到台灣的機率相對小，也未達社區感染等級，但他特別呼籲民眾若非必要，別到韓國境內的醫院。

疾管署長郭旭崧昨日也表示，目前國內防疫等級相當足夠，雖韓國疫情出現首都圈外的個案，但因為所有個案均屬院內感染、還不是社區感染，因此台灣僅針對韓國境內的醫院做警示。

郭旭崧說，若國民非得赴韓旅遊洽公，其實只要避開醫療院所就相當安全；但假使韓國疫情向上發展，甚至爆發社區感染，我國除了會啟動進一步防疫措施，也不排除仿照香港，強制對韓國來台班機的所有乘客量體溫。

立委趙天麟於衛環委員會表示，MERS已經於101年9月指定為第五類傳染病，建議衛福部比照登革熱，編列民眾自主通報獎勵金。蔣丙煌當場表示支持，同意將MERS指定為法定民眾自主通報獎勵之傳染病檢體，預估最快將在兩周內實施相關措施。

對於韓國光州世大運下月將開賽，台灣首批選手將於7月1日啟程，總計將有237位參加，選手安全備受關注，吳思華表示，至遲6月底前將決定是否參加世大運。

蔣丙煌受訪表示，現在尚未達社區感染狀況，不須過度緊張，除非國際提高了韓國的疫情等級。對於是否建議減少參賽人數，蔣丙煌建議，主辦單位應參酌國際評估做出決定。
